  1. Why "chip"?
  2. Smarty works fine and is nearly standard, why reinvent the wheel?
  3. What if I have a suggestion?

Why "chip"?

Freedom of naming. I knew a cat once named Chip.

Smarty works fine and is nearly standard, why reinvent the wheel?

One wheel fits not all. This world is choice. This world is freedom. Microsoft Windows is popular, but not everybody uses it. They teach programming language standards, but yet people have their own variations. What works for everybody might not work for some. And telling that one group that they have no choice but to conform is a tragedy.

Plus, I am still a firm believer in the thought that if one man's code does not suit you, you can always write it yourself.

What if I have a suggestion?

Then by all means let me hear it. You see, if one person had all of the ideas this world would be in serious trouble. The fact is, everybody has different needs, and being able to adjust code to even the majority of the people's needs is an attainable goal. But this goal requires feedback. Feel free to contact me.
